English translation of review in Scherzo:

“Rachel Kolly d'Alba has already introduced herself with an outstanding album dedicated to the Violin Sonatas from Ysaÿe (Warner). This new recording, French Impressions, contains many beauties, some hidden and others more obvious. We are presented with a marvellous recording confirming the class of its main protagonist. It also unveils the fantastic writing of Saint-Saëns' Concerto No.3; the beauty of Chausson's Poème; the brightness of the Ravelian Tzigane and the uniqueness of the performer's own orchestration of Ysaÿe. On top of this, Rêve d’Enfant complements, thematically and stylistically, the presence of the little jewel that is Berceuse de l'Enfant Pauvre. These pieces suit the young Swiss violinist's style as she travels through them with impeccable taste and plenty of technique to make them hers, with a spontaneity that comes from ease and grace.”
